Melt filters F1 from Atlasmash
The solution for melt filtration developed by Atlasmash specialists was a breakthrough for the domestic plastics processing industry. F1 laser filters, manufactured by the company for more than three years, are the undisputed sales leaders in this segment of the Russian market: every year more than 15 systems are installed on different granulation lines in the country. According to Atlasmash, this number exceeds even the total volume of all similar filters produced by Turkish manufacturers combined. The success of F1 laser filters is explained by a number of the following important
features:
factors:
- availability. The company managed to develop a fairly simple model to manufacture, which led to a low cost of the system and allows you to keep the cost of a laser filter within the cost of two conventional gate or pistol filters.
- durability of filter nets.
Thanks to the special design of the filter elements, the service life of the grids is up to 1 year, which is an absolute record among foreign analogues. Of course, during this period, as the nets become dirty, they are regularly cleaned, but-and this is important — they do not lose their shape and can be used repeatedly, not 2, 3 or 4 times, but dozens of times;
— easy operation. From a week to a month, the filter works non-stop without human intervention. As the grid becomes dirty and the pressure increases, the filter grid in the furnace supplied with the filter is replaced and cleaned. The replacement process takes less than an hour before the extruder starts up again. The design of cleaning knives is simple. We use inexpensive knives that do not require constant replacement — only grinding
every 2-3 months.
- large filtration area
(4000 cm2). For comparison, usually the filtration area in an extruder does not exceed 700 cm2 at a capacity of 500 kg / h, and 1500 cm2 at a capacity of 1000 kg / h..
A large
filtration area leads to both an
increase in productivity and a decrease in productivity.
pressure level;
- turnkey filter delivery to
any extruder from any manufacturer. Atlasmash manufactures a complete set for installing the filter (flanges, a bed of the required height, a kiln for firing filter discs), coordinates the system management with the extruder controller, installs and starts the equipment, provides the client with consumables and spare parts for a year of operation. F1 filters work successfully on all well-known European, Taiwanese, Turkish and other granulators; — br>
- available in stock. Almost always in stock there are ready-made laser filters F1. Delivery takes a maximum of a couple of weeks, during which the transition plates are manufactured
flanges for the customer's extruder and a frame of the required height.
Over the past two years, Atlasmash has been actively working to improve the filter design and increase the fineness of filtration while maintaining all the existing advantages of the existing model, and the company's specialists have succeeded. Now the unit perfectly copes not only with filtration in the range of 200-600 microns, but can
also be used for a finer process (up to 120 microns).
In most cases, waste processing does not require such thorough filtration and uses
a mesh with a cell of 300 microns, which roughly corresponds to the traditional plain netting P-56. To the first
at first glance, it seems that the P-56 grid has a much smaller micronity, but, unfortunately, in practice it is not quite so: the cells of the braided grid have
rectangular shape, and the size should be measured diagonally. But that's half the trouble. No one is engaged in low-pressure granulation, and everyone strives for high productivity, so as soon as the pressure rises above 60 bar, the cells of the braided mesh begin to change their geometry, which leads to their deformation, as a result of which significantly larger dirt particles and foreign inclusions get into the melt. However, in some specific cases, when working with expensive materials, it is necessary to provide a filtration degree of up to 120 microns. Atlasmash filters successfully cope with this task thanks to a special modified design of grids with cells of 120, 150 and 200 microns in size. It should be noted that the traditional desire to filter everything in a row with the maximum degree of filtration does not make economic sense, since
reducing the micron size affects the productivity of the extruder, and the degree of this influence depends on the condition and design of the screw, motor power, and melt flow.
Therefore, the following laser filter applications are recommended::
— in a conventional single-stage granulator, the filtration rate of 300-400 microns solves most problems. If necessary, you can put a grid with smaller cells — 150-200 microns;
— in a two - or three-stage granulator, you need to install the first filter with cells of 500-600 microns in size, the second filter for finer filtration with cells of 300 microns or less (for working with expensive materials.
